📦 Device Pickup Policy

If your device request is approved, we will contact you when it is available for pickup. Please note:

  • Devices will be held for 48 hours after confirmation of availability.

  • No-shows without prior notice will lose their reservation. The device will be reassigned to the next person on the waiting list.

  • To reschedule or request a short extension, you must contact us before the 48-hour window expires. After the 48-hour window, you will need to submit a request again, which may result in delays of receiving a device.

📝 Device Request Policy

When requesting a donated device, please keep the following in mind:

  • Devices are distributed based on availability. Specific models, brands, or specs cannot be requested.

  • We aim to meet your general needs, but recipients must accept what is offered.

  • Exceptions may be made when there's a clear requirement for a desktop or laptop based on work or accessibility needs - please communicate this during your request.

  • All devices are provided as-is and are tested to be functional.

💻 Device Donation/Surrender Policy

We currently are only accepting laptops, desktops, phones, and peripherals (mouse, keyboard, webcams, cables)
By donating or surrendering your device you understand:

  • You are permanently giving up ownership and access to the device.

  • The device will be re-imaged, reassigned, or decommissioned at the discretion of our team.

  • No requests for return will be accepted once the device is surrendered.

  • Please ensure all personal data is removed before donation. We are not responsible for recovering or preserving personal files after surrender unless specified in service request. Please refer to our Data Handling Policies for more information.

🛠 Device Tune-Up & Upgrade Policy

We offer basic device tune-ups and upgrades to help extend the life of your equipment. Please review the following guidelines:

  • Tune-ups include cleanup, software updates, driver checks, and performance optimization.

  • Upgrades (e.g., RAM, SSD) are offered based on availability of parts and device compatibility.

  • We offer 90-day post support for newly received devices, and will do our best to assist after the 90 day period.

  • Non-working devices may be recommended for replacement instead.

  • Users are responsible for backing up personal data before service, unless requested in Service Request prior to drop-off.

🏢 Business Device Donation Policy

We welcome device donations from businesses and organizations. To ensure secure and responsible handling, the following policy applies:

  • Donated devices must be surrendered entirely, with no expectation of return.

  • All devices undergo certified data destruction in compliance with industry standards.

  • A Data Destruction Certificate will be provided within 72 hours of receipt.

  • Devices may be refurbished, re-imaged, or responsibly recycled based on condition.

  • Please include an inventory list (if available) for tracking and reporting purposes.
